Cast Your Votes; Who’s The Best Styled Nigerian President?

You all know what’s going down after Valentine’s— The Nigerian Election. It’s fast approaching, hence candidates are reaching out for our votes.

Before we cast our votes, we’re looking to settle the best Nigerian President style. Who is the best dressed President in Nigeria’s history? Obasanjo? Atiku? Buhari? or Jonathan?

  • Olusegun Obasanjo

An Ex-militant general, he was Nigeria’s president from 1999-2007. Six years before he emerged president, he was arrested for speaking against human rights abuse by Sani Abacha, a military dictator.

He was the first military head of state to transfer power peacefully to a civilian regime. In recent times, he’s been quite popular for writing letters to current president Buhari.

  • Atiku Abubakar

If you’re conversant with the Nigerian politics, then you know who Atiku Abubakar is. You know he’s the major opponent of APC’s Buhari for the 2019 elections. He’s the official candidate of the People’s Democratic Party.

In 1999, he served alongside Obasanjo as the Vice President. However, in 2006, their relationship fell apart. His boss wanted to amend the constitution to suit his desire to ascend the presidential throne for the third time, and he didn’t buy the idea.

Atiku is a resilient man, as he has tried attaining the presidential seat four times and failed. Well, he’s trying again!! Also a business man, Atiku style includes a mixture of Native and English wears.

  • Goodluck Ebele Jonathan

Known for his peculiar Bayelsa outfit, Goodluck Jonathan served as the President of Nigeria from 2010-2015. Prior to attaining the presidential seat, he had served as the deputy governor and governor of Bayelsa State consecutively.

He was also vice president to the then President, Late Umaru Musa Yar’adua. In 2015, he aspired to ascend the presidential throne a second time but lost to President Muhammadu Buhari.

  • Muhammadu Buhari

Muhammadu Buhari is the current president of Nigeria. While he had taken over power as a military man in the past, some individuals claim he’s not the same person.

They say; he’s a clone! Whoosh!!! I spilled the juice! Well, it’s an open secret and I’m sure you didn’t hear it here first. Before 2015, he had contested for elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011. He made history by being the first candidate to defeat an incumbent government in elections.

Again, he’s the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming 2019 election. During events, President Buhari is always seen wearing Agbada or the Babanriga with a cap.

He possesses an affinity for white/grey clothing. Moreover, he barely wears English outfits. As a complete traditional man, native is the way!
